Sununu Veto of Cyanobacteria-Related Bill Overridden. HB 1293, a bill to combat cyanobacteria blooms, was present to my committee in January.  We agreed that the intent of the bill was good, but need work.  I took on the task of meeting with multiple stakeholders and departments to amend the bill to make it effective and work well with existing statutes. This article from InDepthNJH  presents a good overview of how it made it through the legislature, was vetoed by the governor, and had sufficient support for a veto over-ride.
